Hide in a Secret Grotto Behind a Warm Waterfall at Ma'in Hot Spa
If taking a shower under a warm waterfall then relaxing behind the waterfall in a steamy warm cave appeals to you, then you need to visit Ma’in Hot Spa. These healings springs are believed to have been frequented by biblical King Herod who lived in nearby Mukawer where John the Baptist was beheaded following Salome’s fateful dance. It is a hot freshwater mineral spring and waterfall that lies 264 metres (866 ft) below sea level. The springs, located on the edge of Wadi Mujib, feed the Dead Sea. The water contains large amounts of hydrogen sulfide.

Teresa the Traveler's Ma'in Hot Spa Travel TipsStick to Your Budget - If you are a budget traveler like myself you may want to stay in Madaba and rent a car or hire a driver to take you here for the day (the cover charge is minimal) but if you have more to spend and want a luxerious experience you may want to stay at the Evason and Six Senses Spa on site.
Be Modest - Jordan is a Muslim country with a conservative dress code so don't pack that string bikini you bought in Brazil. Test the Water - The water that flows through the stream inside the grotto behind the waterfall is steaming hot, so be careful not to get burned, sit by the stream but don't walk through it.
